Christmas Aperture Cards

These cards can be made by using pieces of left over cards and paper from your bits and bobs box.

Tip: make the cards using the aperture pieces first.  That way you can use the aperture card as a template for where to place the die cut pieces.

Machine Mulberry Paper Red with Gold Threads for the berries

Brown Handmade Mulberry Paper for the Christmas pudding
Mini Glue Dots and 6mm double-sided tape for fixing the pieces of card an paper into place and gluing down the piece of card covering the aperture

Sakura Hunter Green Gelly Roll Glaze Pen for colouring the holly
Iridescent glitter Powder sprinkled lightly to add shimmer to the holly
There is no need to use glue with the iridescent glitter powder.  Gelly Roll Glaze pens are slow drying.  Simply sprinkle on
the glitter powder whilst the ink is wet, shake off excess, and leave to dry.

Candy Cane Aperture Card
The bow has been made by iris folding green shimmer paper.  If you are short of time then just use flat pieces of shimmer paper.
Aperture Card Candy Cane from Christmas Aperture Card Set
Green Shimmer Paper cut into 15mm strips and fold in half lengthways.
3mm Double-sided Tape.
Start at the bottom of the bow tails working upwards on one side using 3mm double sided tape and gluing down and cutting the iris folding strips as you go.  Repeat on the other bow tail again working from bottom to top.  Then work along each part of the main bow from outside edge to centre.  Finally place a small piece of shimmer paper in the centre of the bow.
