Card Making Project - Cupcake Queen Card
Made by Madeleine

This card uses 3 of the toppers plus 1 of the little hearts with each piece slightly overlapping the previous one.
The heart gems are coloured with a brown permanent marker pen to give them the appearance of chocolate.

To make this card you will need:

A4 Stardream Opal Card cut and creased to 144mm x 144mm

Colour the clear heart gems thickly and evenly with the brown permanent marker and leave to dry.

Attach a deckle border peel off to the top of the card and the bottom of the card.

Lay the toppers loose on the card so you can see where the wording is to be positioned.  If you need help to get the letters straight, attach 2 pieces of masking tape to the card just below where you want to place the letters.  Remove the toppers and build up the words cupcake and queen using gold lower case peel offs.
Tip: when creating the word cupcake start with the e at the end and work backwards – that way there’s no possibility of running out of room on the card when you come to the end of the word.

If you’ve used making take then remove it carefully as the p and q will overlap the masking tape

As you build up the toppers each one that overlaps needs to be a little higher than the previous one.  Start with the large scallop edge topper at the left.  Apply 1mm 3D tape and glue to card.

Take the second topper with lots of cupcakes and apply 2mm 3D foam tape then glue down slightly overlapping the first topper.

Take the small round wording topper and apply 2mm 3D foam tape, then 1mm 3D foam tape to give it a depth of 3mm.  Attach to the card slightly overlapping the previous topper.

Take the little heart topper and apply 2mm 3D foam tape twice, one piece on top of the other to give a depth of 4mm and attach to the card slightly overlapping the previous topper.

Take the coloured heart gems.  You may need to apply a second coat with the permanent marker pen and leave to dry for a minute.  Attach the hearts to the card using Didi glue dots.
