The differing shades of purple on an Opal background really makes this card stand out from the crowd.
To make this card you will need:
|
|
With your piece of purple card, ink up your image with your Versamark pad and stamp centrally onto card. Then sprinkle the embossing powder over the image and then using your heat gun, “set” the image by applying heat from the underside of your card.
Tip: colouring in with the paints is much easier if the design is embossed as it resists the paint in certain areas making a neater job.
Using the cosmic shimmer paints, colour in as much of the detail as you like. Leave to dry.
Tip: using the purple card gives a better colour for the bear’s fur.
Cut a piece of the patterned paper to measure approx. 11 x 14.5cm and, using the spring ribbon border punch, punch along one of the long sides of the paper.
Cut a piece of the purple foil card to measure 9 x 13.5cm. and punch along one of the long sides of the card.
Using your card base as a tentfold card, i.e. with the crease at the top, and leaving the punched border visible on your paper, stick your paper on to the left-hand side of the card and then stick the foil card on top using double sided tape.
Once the stamped image is dry, glue it onto your card using double sided tape, just off-setting it from the panels on the left hand side.
Place one purple flat-backed gem in each of the corners of the image and then another 3 toward the bottom right hand side of the card.
Take the heart peel-offs, place one at the top left-hand side of the purple foil panel, another at the bottom of the panel and then one in the centre.
Tip: by positioning the top and bottom peel offs first enables you to have them evenly spaced out.
To finish colour in your sentiment peel-off with purple permanent marker pen, leave for a minute to dry, and position on to the card.
