Card Making Project - Lily Sympathy Card
Made by Linda

A lovely card using lilies backing paper and lilies decoupage.  Linda has made a sympathy card but this design could also be used for a birthday card or a wedding card as lilies are such a versatile flower.

To make this card you will need:

Make up the die cut lilies decoupage using 3D foam pads or silicon glue.  If using silicon glue, leave to dry, preferably overnight.

Measure the front panel of the card and cut a piece of the lilies backing paper to those measurements. Glue the backing paper to front panel.

Measure the smallest of the 3 panels, measuring across the panel and the length of the longer side and cut an oblong to fit from the lilies backing paper.  Cut another oblong of backing paper to the same size.

Tip: It’s easier to cut an oblong of paper first and then trim the paper when it’s on the card rather than trying to cut the paper to the shape.

Attach one of the oblongs of backing paper to the left far panel and one to the right far panel.  Following the line of the card, trim off the excess with scissors.

Using the largest of the Nellie’s oval dies and the Cuttlebug cut the shape out of the Stardream Antique Gold card.  Attach it to the front panel of the card using photo glue

Attach 3D foam pads or silicon glue to the lilies decoupage.  Position and stick down the decoupage on the Stardream Antique Gold Oval.

Cut a piece of Stardream Antique Gold card to 70mm and glue near the bottom of the front panel using photo glue.

Cut out the With Sympathy sentiment and, using photo glue, centre it on the Stardream Antique Gold panel and stick down.
Add a peel off lily, with the lily facing right, to the small right hand side panel.  Then add a peel off lily facing left to the small left hand panel.

Finally, trim both sides of the front panel and both sides of each of the small side panels with the narrow border peel offs.
