Card Making Project - Tall Dufex Snowman Card

This card is the second in our series of making 3 totally different cards from the 1 Dufex Decoupage Sheet.

To make this card you will need:

White Linen Card cut and creased to 105mm x 210mm
Sellotape

Note:  this card is slightly wider than a normal DL card but it still fits into a DL envelope.

Push out and make up the Dufex decoupage using foam pads or silicon glue.  

Tip: because there are small pieces, such as the snowman’s cap, and narrow pieces, such as the neck of the geese, it is better to use silicon for this design than foam pads.  If you really prefer foam pads, make up part of the decoupages using then and then cut the foam pads in 2 or consider just using silicon glue for the fiddly bits.

Using the largest of the Nestabilities Petit Ovals Large and the Cuttlebug cut an oval out of silver mirror card.  If you don't have a Cuttlebug and the Nestabilities Petit Ovals Large dies then make your own oval 115mm high x 88mm wide.

Using photo glue stick the decoupage to the silver oval and leave to dry.

Take the white linen card and make a small hole for the brad to be pushed through.
Open the card up and using a craft knife and cutting mat cut a line along the crease approx. 20mm long for the ribbon to be fed through lining it up with the position of the hole for the brad.

Thread the blue ribbon through the snowflake ribbon brad and then push the brad through the hole you made in the card.  Feed the ribbon through the cut you made in the spine and secure on the inside of the card.  Take the other end of the ribbon around to the inside of the card and secure.  Madeleine just used Sellotape to secure the ends of the ribbon.

Cut the Merry Christmas greeting from the sentiments sheet using wave decorative scissors or the wave blade.  Trim both sides so that the greeting measures approx. 70mm.

Cut a piece of the silver mirror card to 75mm x 22mm.  Using photo glue adhere the greeting to the silver mirror card.  Leave to dry.

Using 3D foam tape glue the decoupage on the silver oval into place near the top of the card.

Using 3D foam tape glue the Merry Christmas on silver mirror card into place.

To finish off your card you need to hide the work on the inside of the card of the brad and ribbon.  Take the piece of white linen card 101mm  x 206mm and glue it to the inside of the card using double sided tape.
