Card Making Project - Elegant Lady Card
Made by Dawn

Dawn makes cards to raise money for her disabled son so she has to get value from the decoupage sheets she buys.  This card uses only 4 of the 8 pieces that make up this decoupage design with the other 4 being used for another card.   It is also a very interesting use of an oval aperture card with a bubble front.

To make this card you will need:

Peel Off Greeting of your choice in Silver
Insert cut to 6mm less than the size of the unfolded card printed with a greeting of your choice

Making the decoupage design
Cut a piece of Stargem deep pink glitter card to 90mm x 130mm.
Cut out the following decoupage pieces from the Black and White Ladies 681 Decoupage sheet:
1.     The picture of the lady without the background
2.     The lady’s face with earing and brim of hat.
3.     The black and white spotted shawl
4.     The row of 4 flowers.

Using 3D foam pads or silicon glue build up your decoupage picture.
Start by layering the picture of the lady without the background, using 3D foam pads or silicon glue, centred on the deep pink  glitter paper, then add the shawl, then the face with the brim of the hat, and finally the 4 flowers trim.

Putting the Card Together
Push the bubble front through the aperture.  I find it useful to hold it in place with small pieces of sellotape or masking tape at the top and bottom.

Centre the decoupage design over the bubble and attach double-sided tape to glue it down.

Attach a little more double-sided tape to the top bottom and side edges of the fold over flap, to give it strength to stay in place, then fold the flap over and stick down firmly.

Turn the card over to the front and add the corner and peel off greeting.

Finally, add your printed insert to the inside of the card.
