Pricing your cards

You’ve used your card making skills to make some beautiful cards and now you have to price them.

Pricing your handmade cards is never easy. Getting the balance between making a decent profit and an acceptable price to your customer is like walking in a minefield.

A lot will depend on where you live so have a look around and see what price similar cards sell for in your area (although if you’ve taken the previous advice in making cards to sell you should be pushed to find anything similar).

We have customers in one county in the south east of England who say that they have great difficulty in selling their hand made cards as the prospective customers look upon them as home made cards. We also have customers in the neighbouring county (which is more rural and I do think rural counties do better) who can easily sell their cards for about the
