A tip from Nellie herself
February 26th, 2010A few people were experiencing problems when using Nellie’s dies, especially the largest of the rectangle shapes, in that they weren’t getting a clean cut. This solution came from Nellie herself and we’ve tested it and it works a treat.
Cut a piece of acetate so that it’s longer than the die (it doesn’t need to be wider but it does need to be longer so when the die is placed on top of it there is some of the acetate protruding above and below the die). The piece Madeleine used in the test was 210mm x 50mm.
Place the piece of acetate on the C plate then the die, cutting side up, on top of the acetate. Then add your card or paper and your B plate as normal. You’ll find the die cuts your card or paper much better.

New Small Beauties Die Cut Pyramid Decoupage
February 15th, 2010We’ve just taken delivery of some georgeous new pyramid decoupage sheets from Small Beauties who specialise in beautiful floral designs. There are 2 designs per A4 sheet – 1 pramid decoupage and 1 inverted pyramid design per sheet and what’s more they are all die cut and just have to be pushed out making them excellent value at just 99p per sheet.
Using Nellie’s Multiframe Dies

We’ve had quite a few queries on using the Nellie’s dies when card making. I also had a bit of bother when I first got mine. Although the dies are great the inclusion of some instructions in the pack would have been helpful. Anyway, many thanks to Janice at Kars for showing us how to use them. I’ve written down what she did to share it with you.
Some of the older dies, such as the Nellie’s circles, rectangles, ovals, and squares are held in place with a paper backing an you need to separate them using a craft knife. The newer dies are already separated.
Using With the Cuttlebug:
