When card making, scissors is something we take for granted but it pays to have a pair of good quality scissors just for card making (and save the kitchen scissors for cutting the rind off the bacon). Longer scissors about 8.5 inches are good for cutting card and a smaller pair with fine blades and points, or tweezer scissors for decoupage.
Most card makers will have a good rotary trimmer or guillotine for most of their cutting and trimming work with card but there are times when you just need a good pair of scissors.

I’m pleased to say that at long last the boxalopes and little satin bows are now back in stock.
If you haven’t used boxalopes before, they are a combination of an envelope and a box. They’re pre-creased and easier to use than boxes and will protect any delicate embellishments on your handmade card. They come in 3 sizes: C6 for A6 cards, DL for tall cards up to 100mm x 210mm, and 140mm square. The square ones won’t take the larger 144mm x 144mm square cards but they will take 140mm x 140mm and cards that are less than 140mm square.
